They outscored their division rival Washington Redskins 23-17 yesterday at the Meadowlands.
Eli Manning threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Mario Manningham and defensive end Osi Umenyiora ran back a fumble 37 yards to help cement the win.

The University of Memphis men's and women's soccer teams both came up with big road victories Sunday.
The men took down the nation's 23rd-ranked team, beating Drake, 4-3, in a match played in Birmingham, Ala.
Justin Watson, Ryan Ruble, Andreas Guentner and Parker Duncan scored for the Tigers, who improve to 2-1-1.

Serena Williams was fined $10,000 Sunday for a profanity-laced tirade directed at a U.S. Open line judge, and an investigation is under way to determine whether there should be additional punishment.
The $10,000 penalty -- not quite 3 percent of the $350,000 in prize money Williams earned by reaching the semifinals at Flushing Meadows -- is the maximum on-site fine that can be issued for unsportsmanlike conduct at a Grand Slam tournament.

Sandrine Gruda added 22 points for the Sun (16-18), who won two of three to close out the season on the heels of a five-game slide.

Diana Taurasi had 21 points, nine rebounds and five assists to lead the Phoenix Mercury to a 95-84 win over the Connecticut Sun on Saturday night.
Taurasi hit a 17-footer and found Penny Taylor for a 3-pointer during a key stretch of the final five minutes to help Phoenix pull away after the Mercury fell behind 80-79 with 6:25 remaining.
Taylor added a pair of free throws with 1:45 left and the Mercury held the Sun scoreless over the final 3 minutes.
